Tiki Āhua – an annual one-night fashion and design extravaganza through the hallowed mist and steam of Te Whakarewarewa Valley, at Rotorua’s Te Puia.
This esteemed runway event will be held on Saturday 24 September, 2016, featuring outstanding fashion by emerging and established designers, from Rotorua and beyond, interwoven with contemporary music, art, dance and live performance. At its core is the proud Te Arawa spirit of excellence, manaaki and celebration.
The Tiki Āhua – Kā Mura runway will star the spectrum of Māori fashion and adornment. It will include street wear design, jewellery and adornment including tā moko, bone, stone and contemporary jewellery, collections of daywear, eveningwear and avant-garde and a segment honouring our original fashion designers, the weavers of Te Whakarewarewa valley.
